Financial Systems Analyst
Fast-paced Technology company based in central Austin is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to add to the team. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and systems administrator for the organization’s various financial applications, and play a lead role during integration and implementation projects related to the company’s rapid growth trajectory. The company has a dynamic business environment with passionate, dedicated team members and leadership. This position will have a high-level of exposure to the Senior Management team and will allow for the ability for professional growth and advancement, while becoming a key figure within the department.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant experience, which will include demonstrated functional and technical knowledge of Financial Information Systems, and a strong background related to implementations, support, integrations, and development & customization. A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or other related field. Relevant Information Systems coursework is necessary, along with practical, hands-on business experience.
The Financial Systems Analyst should have a fundamental understanding of accounting and finance, as well as Internal Controls related to finance, accounting and integrated systems. Previous experience as a key user and manipulator of an ERP system such as Oracle, NetSuite, PeopleSoft, etc. is required. Strong analytical, change management, project management and problem solving skills are needed, along with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. This person should also possess the ability to create and communicate detailed and informative reports in a user-friendly manner. Experience with a Big 4 Accounting firm, or Management Consulting firm, is a major plus.
Specific job duties will include providing support on financial application issues including month end close, system availability, and performance optimization, and working with cross-functional teams to define user roles, permissions and controls. In addition to assisting with implementation and integration projects related to core financial systems, this individual will evaluate system issues, identify alternatives, and implement timely solutions. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with product vendors, development teams, IT, and NetSuite consultants to provide in-depth technical and functional solutions and ensure development of efficient and sustainable application systems utilizing best-in-class standards, procedures, and methodologies.
