Sr. Financial / SEC Reporting Analyst
Industry-leading public company in Austin is seeking a sharp accounting professional with SEC reporting experience to add to the team. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and reputable company in a key Financial Reporting role.
Reporting to the Controller, the SEC Reporting Analyst will focus on technical accounting and financial reporting issues, including quarterly and annual SEC filings, footnotes, MD&A, earnings releases and proxy preparation, and other related SEC reporting functions. This individual will also be involved with M&A transactions, and will play a key role in facilitating the external Audit, while assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal process improvements. Additional technical accounting duties, including GAAP research and compliance, will be involved. This position will interface on a regular basis with Senior Operations Management, Finance Executives, and Legal teams, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed.
Qualified candidates should have at least 4 years of relevant Accounting and Financial Reporting experience, including significant exposure to and knowledge of SEC reporting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, and CPA or CPA candidate is necessary. A strong understanding of the 10-K and 10-Q SEC reporting process is imperative, along with current GAAP knowledge and ability to perform technical accounting research. This individual should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a proven work ethic and professional demeanor.
