As Co-Founder of Hill Country Search Advisors, Spencer brings almost 15 years of market-leading production and expertise as an Accounting & Finance recruiter within the Austin metroplex. He serves as a trusted advisor to both hiring managers and job-seeking candidates throughout Austin, and maintains long-term client relationships with many of the top companies in the marketplace. Since starting Hill Country Search Advisors in 2013, Spencer and co-founder Ariana Anderson have dedicated themselves to building a progressive-minded recruiting firm that is based on integrity, hard work, commitment to excellence, and trust.
After receiving a Master’s degree in Accounting from The University of Texas in 2003, Spencer began his career by spending 3 years with Deloitte & Touche in the Audit practice of its Austin office. He transitioned into the recruiting world in 2006, joining a nationwide staffing agency for four years, and then spent three years as the Executive Recruiting Manager for a local consulting firm in Austin, helping to rebuild its executive placement function from the ground-up. Ariana Anderson has a special talent for connecting outstanding Accounting & Finance talent with great employers across the Central Texas area. She is an Austin native and a proud graduate of the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas, where she majored in Finance. As Co-Founder of Hill Country Search Advisors, she brings entrepreneurial experience to the table, along with a broad and successful track record in the Recruiting industry. Her experience includes spending 5 years with a national, specialty staffing firm in multiple, progressive roles. Ariana offers a unique client experience which is tailored to meet the needs of each individual employer, both large and small.

Kristen joined HCSA in 2019, and brings over 5 years of progressive Recruiting experience within a variety of industries, including an extensive background in Accounting & Finance. She serves as the “go-to” Recruiter for many of our open positions, and has a proven track record of making successful placements at all levels, from Staff and Administrative roles up to VP & C-level.
Kristen excels at developing long-term relationships with candidates, and enjoys helping job-seekers in various stages of their transitions, including providing career advice, resume enhancements, and interview preparation, among many other things. Kristen grew up in Kansas and has lived in Austin for the last 10 years, and received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University.
