SEC / Financial Reporting Analyst
Industry-leading public company in Austin is seeking a sharp accounting professional for a new role within the Financial Reporting team. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, reputable company in a position that will allow for a progressive range of exposure and career growth.
Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, this position will focus on a broad range of financial reporting items, including quarterly and annual SEC filings, footnotes, MD&A, earnings releases and proxy preparation, and other related SEC reporting functions. This individual will also be involved with corporate reporting, and will play a key role in facilitating the external Audit, while assisting with technical accounting, GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This position will interface on a regular basis with Senior Operations Management, Finance Executives, and Legal teams, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed.
To be considered, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Between one to three (1-to-3) years of relevant experience, either within public accounting (Audit) or corporate accounting with exposure to SEC reporting
Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Accounting is required, and a CPA (or active CPA candidate) is necessary
Previous exposure to SEC 10-K and 10-Q reporting processes is needed, along with current GAAP knowledge and ability to perform technical accounting research
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a proven work ethic and professional demeanor
Candidates with public accounting (Big 4 or national Audit firm experience) are encouraged to apply.
